Ball Maze Game
"There is no easy way of becoming a good painter"
what we discussed:
- associated things like hard work and how that it is a process to become a good painter.
-Its a challenge as there is no set of instructions to become a good painter, It takes one to push themselves and someone who is determined.
-Its almost as if this quote feels as if there is a time pace or limited time.
-Its measuring success within an opinion, since this is a statement made by Joshua Reynolds it is a statement formed by his views so it is not necessarily true or false.
-As we were discussing the quote we really felt "challenge" was associated well
- we wanted to be playful with it and something that the audience would be challenged but at the same time creating an active contribution towards it. We came up with a ball maze game but with a creative twist to it, Where we had just one ball and you can dip into any 4-5 colours.
-After picking your chosen colour place the ball in the maze and try to get through to the exit.
-While the person is figuring out and playing it, the paint will leave a trail as the ball moves. After parcitipents have completed the maze it will show the journey of where the ball started to where the ball ended,
-this is our way of showing a visual metaphor of a creative "journey" or "process

installation called "loop" created by Snarkitecture. I mentioned how the confusing twists represents the twists and turns in life and that it was individual to each person, this is what we wanted to bring to this project. This relates to how our maze game has edges and corner which makes the participant be challenged.
the way i like to interpret this installation is when each ball is placed on it represents as one childhood memory or experience, the loop is the journey of life and confusioning twists and turns of life. All the balls in the last image are collect memories that stay with the person.
